If you followed along on Instagram and Snapchat you would know that I went to Napa for the weekend. Even though it was raining we still ended up doing everything we wanted. So I thought I would throw together a little guide for either first timers or someone who wants new places to try!
First things first where to stay: We loved our stay at The Meritage Resort and Spa. They had beautiful updated rooms that were quite spacious. My favorite part or I should say Lola’s favorite part was they provided her with a bed, food and water bowls and some puppy treats! They also had their own winery, which was so nice. I highly recommend this hotel!
If you have a free afternoon and want to do some shopping or munch on some yummy food I loved walking down Napa’s Riverfront. Talk about gorgeous! We ate at Napkin which was super yummy.
My absolute favorite meal of the day, breakfast! Whenever someone asks about Napa, Boon Fly Cafe is always at the top of my list. I am not kidding when I say this but it’s the best breakfast I have ever had! Make sure to order the homemade donuts! A little tip get there at 7am (when they open) the wait time is usually between 20-30 minutes.
and the best part of Napa is of course the wine tasting!
My favorites are….
Alpha Omega: rustic chic barn with panoramic views with the best Cabernet.
Beringer: One of the top large wineries in the world. Its impressive, 1884 fieldstone Rhine House, housing the tasting room, is a Napa Valley landmark.
Domaine Carneros: you’ll feel like you teleported to France. Sitting on the terrace sipping on some bubbly with unforgettable views.
