Happy Tuesday! I’m writing on a different day today instead of my regular Monday, Wednesday and Friday just to get a feel for my numbers and how many of you visit my site and engage! In regards to “numbers” and “engagement” I thought I would share a little about my experience with Instagram and my blog.
I started posting my outfits on Instagram 3 years ago. Around then is when I became really obsessed with fashion. So I did my homework, bought magazines, watched fashion shows online, started reading fashion blogs. About a year or so later I begin the journey of All Things Pink. It was such a fun and creative outlet for me, I met so many amazing women who I am still friends with today. Talk about girl power!! After writing on Google blog for 2 years I took a leap of faith and created my own website which is now www.thinkallpink.com. I did have to change my blog name after a long back and forth with the original owners of allthingspink.com and just decided it would save me A LOT of money if I just changed it to my current name.
Jumping back to Instagram. God is really testing my patience with my followers here. I admit it I’m not growing the way others are. I’ve been doing this for 3 years and only have 17.7k followers. But I’m grateful for the followers I do have, I read in another girls blog that if you imagine all your followers in one room all there to see you, your numbers don’t seem that small anymore now huh? Eventually I will get to my goal but I’m enjoying creating content for you now. All I can really do is work my ass off and not pay attention to others followings.
My new website has been a process but is so beyond beautiful. My amazing Instagram boyfriend created it and it really is what I’ve always wanted. At first I would get frustrated with it because I didn’t know how to use it properly and would get stuck sometimes but the Internet is such an amazing tool I would get the problem fixed so quickly with the help of Google! The other amazing thing about having your own website is that YOU own it and everything that comes along with that. All my images are owned by me and my URL is mine. Such a cool feeling having your own website. So if your waiting for a sign to take your next leap for your blog, this is it! Do it! You won’t regret it.
On an end note don’t give up. Followers do not define you and you should be proud of all the hard work you have put in.
Keep working hard ladies!
