Happy Friday doll face! I cannot believe it’s December! This is by far my favorite month with all the decorations, presents and family time. But sometimes this season gets a little overwhelming so I’ve put together some tips on how to make this the best Christmas season ever. But first I have to tell you about a very fun and affordable website that I discovered… http://www.zaful.com/ is one of my favorite sites right now! I love how on trend their items are and how nicely made their products are.
This adorable black ruffle dress is such a classic piece, definitely a piece that you need for the holidays! Plus it’s on sale for under $20!
And who can forget about the accessories! My metallic handbag is so fun and such a statement piece.
Next up my trench coat is also a classic piece, so versatile and chic!
Let’s talk the holiday season. Alright I’ll be honest it’s stressful as hell. The amount of money that we spend on gifts and food plus the added stress of family, yea its a little much! It might sound funny to some but I don’t get stressed out, maybe it’s my positive outlook or something else. These are things that I live by and fully believe in…
~ Begin with gratitude. Before you begin handing out gifts or tearing in to them, take a moment to reflect on all of your blessings since last Christmas. Write them down. Look at all of the good you have in your life and be grateful.
~ Release expectations. Allow this season to be what it is without expectations or hopes for perfection. We are sometimes disappointed when things don’t go “as planned” during the holidays, be open to change. Embrace the reality of life as being part of the season.
~Create and sustain traditions. Traditions during the holidays make us feel connected to one another. Traditions offer a sense of certainty and comfort. We have a tradition that every Christmas Eve the “Pajama Fairy” leaves my siblings and I a new pair of Christmas pj’s. It’s one of my favorite parts of Christmas.
~Make Christmas Day last. Instead of jumping into gifts and rushing the morning, open gifts one at a time. Open each person’s gift one at a time and maybe stop in between for breakfast!. Light candles, put on music, and enjoy each others company, laughter, and connection.
