Welcome back! I’ve been so excited of the changing season, there’s something about it that gives me such a fresh perspective on my style. With that I think I’ll be slowly switching my style to more “cool girl” and less “uber girly”.
When I first saw this olive skirt I knew it would be a staple for fall. I’m a little late with the embroidered trend but after I saw this beautiful flare sleeve top I was immediately on board. I also love supporting new brands, I’m so obsessed with this new company called Malus Marcoo from San Fransisco. Their pieces are super trendy and so well made. I can’t wait to get my hands on more! Make sure to go check them out.
With the start of fall I thought I would share some tips on transitioning your style.
start wearing fall colors:
Channel those changing leaves! As you transition your wardrobe, start adding in fall’s signature colors like orange, red, mustard yellow, olive, and yes even white.
Throw a cardigan on:
Take any of your favorite shorts, t-shirt, dresses or skirts and add a cardigan, denim jacket, or utility vest. Pair it with a pair of cute flats or you can always wear booties for a fun, fall look.
Get extra mileage out of your sundresses:
Pairing a dark layer like a jean jacket or utility jacket over a pretty summer dress will add a fun splash of color.
Layer up but keep some things bare:
Pile on the layers to keep yourself comfy and warm during those fall wind gusts, but keep some skin exposed too.
And last but not least ignore the rules:
One of the reasons fall shopping can be so expensive and difficult is because all the“rules” that surround dressing in cooler weather. Whether it’s not wearing white after Labor Day, or even pairing black with navy. Ignore them and dress is something that makes you feel confident. Because isn’t that the point anyway?
