Happy Monday! I’m always sad to see the weekend go but I thought I would start off this week as a productive one! Since I have been blogging for 3 years now I have gained some knowledge on the art of blogging and also Instagram! So I’ll be giving some tips for you beginner bloggers or a blogger that is just kinda stuck. The first tip is not to fret about how many followers you have. You might be thinking “whhaatttt isn’t that the point???”
That answer is no. I used to be very harsh on my following and would constantly compare myself to others. “Why are they growing quicker than I am?” “What does she have that I don’t?” I learned very quickly that that wasn’t helping anything. So I just told myself to stop. Stop comparing yourself and be proud of your accomplishments. Pretty soon I was happy for my fellow blogger babes. I was celebrating their success and that transformed the way I looked at blogging in general. I read something the other day that helped the way I looked at my numbers.
Imagine all your followers in one room. Waiting in line to meet you, they are so excited because you are what they look at for inspiration. That puts it into perspective huh?
Tip #2- High quality content is really the most important thing. That means sharp photos, out of the box snapshots, being true to your brand and style, and honestly loving what you do.
Loving blogging is super important. I’ve fallen in love with the whole process of my job. Styling outfits, taking photos, editing, writing my blog post and seeing how my readers respond to my content. It’s pretty obvious when someone doesn’t love what they do, it’s missing that passion.
Tip #3- You have to know exactly who your audience is and how they interact with you. Remembering why you started a blog and why people follow you is really an important link.
Tip #4- Network, Network, Network. Make friends and lots of them! I have made some really incredible relationships over Instagram and I seriously call these ladies friends. Also start commenting on some of the bigger bloggers Instagram, they see it and may return the favor and end up giving a helping hand.
And last but not least blog about what you are truly passionate about. Whether that is fashion, personal style, food, travel or your family! I love writing about fashion and my personal style, if you write and photograph what makes you happy then the rest will follow.
P.S Edit your content. Make it visually appealing. Avoid putting up multiple shots of the same outfit, it’s boring and repetitive. Make your page a story, with many shots of maybe a new handbag you just got, to an #ootd shot, or maybe where you went to brunch.
I hope all these tips are helpful! If you want me to talk either more in depth or maybe a certain subject feel free to comment below!
Since we are entering fall I noticed I was lacking cute tops. So I went into H&M, Zara and Forever 21 and bought a bunch of tops that I can pair with jeans or a mini skirt.
My bell sleeve top is from H&M and its under $20!
I was in dire need of some chic jeans so I found these from ZARA but make sure to size up! I’m usually a size 4 and I had to return them for a size 6!
These pink beauties have very quickly become my favorite and most comfiest shoes! They are from ASOS!
